Yaplings

I'm driplay. I put on a VR headset and become a Giant made of rocks, standing over a floating island. This demo makes you one of the tiny creatures living on it — with your chat name floating over your head, live on my stream.

THE ISLAND

You walk, climb, swim, emote, and grab things that were probably not meant to be grabbed. I will absolutely pick you up. You are small, I am not, and that's the game.

Talk out loud without fear — proximity voice chat with a permanent voice disguise. Nobody ever hears your real voice, not even me, and nobody can turn it off. Get close to whisper. Scatter when I find you.

The island votes on minigames — King of the Hill, Tag, Statues, Scream Contest, races, duels, casino nights — and I rebuild the arena around you when the mode changes.

Watching my stream earns you DripCoins, and chat spends them on beautiful chaos: creature pelts, duck guns, supply crates, embiggening, a knife, a tsunami. And THE MELTDOWN — chat pools 10,000 coins to buy the apocalypse, and whoever paid the most gets the credit.

I'm not safe either. The biggest events shove me, soak me, even shatter me. For a moment, chat owns the god's body.

Misbehave and you'll meet my moderation: mute, banishment to a liminal maze, or a real ban.

THE ISLAND OPENS WHEN I'M LIVE

Offline, the island sleeps. That's not a bug — it's the whole idea. Follow twitch.tv/driplaytv (or driplaytv on TikTok) to catch it open.

HOW TO JOIN

1. Get the game (Windows). Easiest: install via the itch app (one click, auto-updates). Or run the installer (desktop shortcut, no admin prompt). Or the portable zip (unzip, run Yaplings-Phase1.exe).

2. When I'm live, type !island in my chat — the bot gives you the island address.

3. Enter the address in the game and press JOIN. The game shows you a short claim code — type !claim plus that code back in the chat, and a creature on the island becomes you. (The old way works too: !join in chat gets you a one-use code.)

4. First join shows the island rules (13+, live-stream and voice disclosure) — you have to accept.

CONTROLS

WASD move, SPACE jump, mouse look. Grab and carry what you can reach. Emotes and everything else on the in-game panels (F2 shows the full map). No gamepad needed.

WHAT YOU NEED

Windows 10/11 and any mid-range GPU — it's a stylized toon world, not a heavy one. A microphone is optional (your voice is always disguised anyway). And me, live — this game is played WITH the streamer.

First-run note: Windows may show a SmartScreen warning. That's normal for a new unsigned indie build — click More info, then Run anyway.

SAFETY

Consent screen on first join (13+, live-stream and voice disclosure). Permanent voice disguise nobody can disable. Per-player mute. Color-blind assist. Comfort options. I have master controls and a real ban system, and !report name in chat always works.
